Convoluted Sheet Quartz can be recognized by the existence of holes in a milky winding and twisted quartz configuration. The structure occurred during the flow of the quartz over other minerals (usually, tourmaline), and over time, the tourmaline dissolved due to the changes in the condition of the environment. Occasionally there are some pieces of this configuration which contains fragments of the tourmaline.
